Well, yesterday was my Thanksgiving Day dinner party, and my daughters 6th birthday party. It went well, everyone seemed to enjoy themselves. It has been a few months since I had so many people over. What I have learned is, less is more. Last year I invited 50 people over and it did not go well. So it is best to invite like-minded people over in intervals.
In my perfect vision, I would love to invite everyone I know, and have everyone get along as if they have known each other for life…with lots of LOVE,LOVE, LOVE! But since I have done this before and have had to spend time with the tissue box mid-way though, I now know better.
My daughter was so cute. She was so overjoyed that it was finally her birthday, that she couldn’t even blow out her own birthday candle!! She is doing better today and enjoying her gifts and I will be taking her shopping later today so that she can use some of her birthday $$.
As for leftovers? What leftovers? But I’m not complaining, as I do not like to clutter the fridge with leftovers. *G*
I just love cooking for a bunch of people, and am really looking forward to my annual New Years Eve party now! I am going to hold off on having my Christmas cookie party this year. Maybe next year.
So as Martha would say..It was a Good thing.
Some pics from the day..
